Since 2022, the route of the light railway has extended from the western terminus station "Industriemuseum" to Stüveschacht. During the summer months, there are fixed driving days for this and other sections of the line. The Feldbahn Piesberg Osnabrück e.V. association has taken on the extension. It owns the only two box wagons and one of the two preserved locomotives, which did not exist on the Piesberg until 1912. Only a few light railway vehicles have survived the technical development.
The light railway currently shuttles between the Haseschacht and Stüveschascht stations on every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month. The light railway line to the Erdzeitaltertreppe is currently not passable by the light railway for safety reasons.
