Shops in the city centre are open until 10 p.m.
Every year on an evening in October/November, there are surprises in the city centre that make shopping fun - from activities for children, fire shows and walking acts that set points of light in the streets, to lots of music in the old town. The shopping experience also includes free parking and free public transport.
On 8 November 2025, the use of public transport in the city centre is free of charge between 17:00 and 24:00.
Free parking for Moonlight Shopping on 8 November 2025 from 5 p.m. to midnight in selected OPG car parks.
24+ DJs in 24+ locations in the old town from 5 pm to at least 10 pm.
The participating venues and shops will not only be playing music from the 80s and 90s, electro, house, hits, charts, wedding parties and Latin beats, but also special promotions, deals and culinary delights.

St Mary's Church Tower is open to visitors from 6 pm to 10 pm.
From 8 November 2025, the second Osnabrück Christmas bauble will be available in a limited edition of 240 pieces at the Tourist Information. It is hand-painted with St Peter's Cathedral. The first collector's bauble adorned the town hall of the Peace of Westphalia in 2024.
The tourist information centre invites you to a wine tasting with Weinhof Brinkmann from Bad Iburg from 5 pm.
