Sophisticated cuisine in a pleasant atmosphere - strikingly accentuated and rich in contrast, yet very elegant is the ambience - and thus fits perfectly with Lars Keiling's cuisine, which has always been characterised by the same qualities: Here, every product is creatively elaborated into an aroma-rich and expressive dish.
In culinary terms, the Friedrich is divided into 2 different areas. You can enjoy the cuisine of the "little Friedrich", our bistro, in the front area on the left at the high tables. Here we offer modern cross-over cuisine, where you can choose individually from the menu or follow our menu recommendation. Good basic products, tasty to the point and adapted to the season. This is how we would like to present "Kleiner Friedrich".
In addition to the fine-dining restaurant Friedrich, which combines modern and classic cuisine, there is a casual daily-food restaurant Fritz daily, a cooking school, the sushi restaurant Furittsu and the Friedrich wine shop.
Le Chef Lars Keiling: He joined the Friedrich Genusswelt in 2020 as general manager and head chef and can already look forward to the Michelin star with which the fine dining Friedrich was awarded in March 2022 after the reopening of the Friedrich in October 2021. Born in Saxony-Anhalt, Lars Keiling and his partner Gina Duesmann were self-employed for 10 years with "Keilings Restaurant" in Bad Bentheim. He celebrated many successes there, including 2 Michelin stars, making him one of the "Germany's 50 BEST CHEFS".
Sommelière Gina Duesmann: After many stations (including la vie, Osnabrück), the native of the county had her centre of life in Bad Bentheim for 10 years.
After training as a sommelière in 2013, she already became Germany's best up-and-coming sommelière in 2014 and the "Sternefresser" restaurant critics also named her Sommelière of the Year 2018. "The hostess and friend of Lars Keiling scored points not only with her wine knowledge, one of the best wine accompaniments of the year and a large portion of cordiality, but also with rarely experienced quick-wittedness."
