The ice cream is prepared on the spot at the counter, says operations manager Felix Semsroth. According to Semsroth, the ingredients used are of particularly high quality. The ice cream parlour does not use any preservatives and the banana flavour comes from real bananas, for example. The black wafers do not differ in taste from ordinary wafers, but have been coloured with vegetable charcoal and give the croissants a special look. There are no normal ice-cream scoops, the ice cream is scraped as in Italy.
