There is always something to see and hear in the city and on the stages in Osnabrück - from small fine highlights to international concerts and major events. This year in particular, there are over 200 events to mark the anniversary of "375 Years of the Peace of Westphalia" alone. And then there are the hidden events you won't want to miss! The exhibition "The Wall" with impressive photographs by Annet van der Voort shows the remains of the Atlantic Wall on parts of the European coasts. The pictures can be seen from 17 to 31 October at the Erich Maria Remarque Peace Centre.
At the lecture "Interculturality and Democracy" on 22 October at the Volkshochschule Osnabrück Land, the speaker Hubertus Reise will discuss the very topical issue of how our society deals with immigration, integration and prejudices in an increasingly complex reality of life.
At the 3rd Ecumenical Peace Dialogue on 23 October in the Peace Hall of the historic town hall, the discussion will revolve around "Right-wing populism as a threat to peace in Germany".
On 24 October, all fourth-graders will take part in a hobbyhorse ride to the town hall.
On 25 October, the ecumenical peace service organised by the Working Group of Christian Churches in Osnabrück in the Bergkirche will focus on signs of tolerance, solidarity and peace.
On 29 October, the Ukrainian community of Osnabrück and choir director Irina Slavina have put together a musical programme for a Ukrainian cultural evening in the Lutherkirche. The evening will be complemented by an exhibition of unique paintings by Natalia Mkrtchyan with the theme "Flowers in War".
Musica pro pace" will conclude on 31 October in the church of St. Katharinen.
