Opening hours of municipal facilities on Ascension Day

Ascension Day (Thursday, May 18) some institutions and museums are open.

Here are the most important regulations at a glance:

City Hall City Hall will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 18.

Museum Quarter with Felix Nussbaum House and Cultural History Museum The Felix Nussbaum House/Cultural History Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Ascension Day. On view are: "Dor Guez - Amidst Imperial Grids," "Felix Schoeller Photo Award and German Peace Prize for Photography," "Felix Nussbaum - The Painter," "Stadtspuren, the Exhibition on Osnabrück's Urban History."

Kunsthalle Osnabrück The Kunsthalle will be open on Ascension Day from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. On view is EMAF's exhibition "Trembling Time.

Erich Maria Remarque Peace Center The Erich Maria Remarque Peace Center will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. In addition to the permanent exhibition on the life and work of Erich Maria Remarque, visitors can also view the special exhibition "Mahnende Erinnerung. National - Regional - Local" with photographs by Dieter Blase. In his neo-objective pictorial work, Blase soberly and nuancedly explores the numerous memorial sites and objects in order to highlight all the inconsistencies and contradictions that are associated with a local and individually oriented culture of remembrance for subsequent generations.

Museum of Industrial Culture The Museum of Industrial Culture is open from 10 am to 6 pm.

Current exhibitions: Permanent exhibition: "Man - Nature - Economy"; Special exhibitions: "World Trade. History, Present, Perspectives", "Good Business. Historical photographs of the Osnabrück shopping world", "Industrial culture elsewhere: Hansa coking plant in Dortmund, photographs by the Osnabrück Photographic Society".

Museum am Schölerberg The Museum am Schölerberg, with its recently reopened permanent exhibition, is open from 10 am to 6 pm.

The planetarium shows at 2:30 p.m. - The Robber Hotzenplotz and the Moon Rocket, at 4 p.m. - The Little 1x1 of the Stars and at 5:30 p.m. - 50,000 Feet Above the Sea - The Flying Observatory SOFIA. Weekly markets The Thursday market at Ledenhof is cancelled without replacement.

City library and book bus The city library at the market will be closed on Ascension Day, and the book bus will also not be running.

Tourist Information The Tourist Information Osnabrück | Osnabrücker Land in Bierstraße 22-23 is closed.

Citizens' Advice, Volunteer Agency and Senior Citizens' Office and Senior Citizens' and Nursing Care Center

The Volunteer Agency, the Senior Citizens' Office and the Senior Citizens' and Care Support Point at Bierstraße 32a will be closed on Ascension Day, May 18. The citizens' information offices in the city buildings will also be closed on Ascension Day, May 18.
