In the old town, you will find only owner-operated shops that offer extravagant living and lifestyle. Gourmets also get their money's worth in this district. From exquisite restaurants to coffee roasters, wine, gin, whisky or delicatessen shops, to the numerous pubs, there is something for every palate. Many cultural and gourmet festivals and the historic Christmas market also take place in the old town. The Tourist Information for Osnabrück and the Osnabrück region is located at the back of the historic town hall and right next to the 4-star Romantikhotel Walhalla, which celebrated its 325th anniversary in 2015.
