Misfit rap and an outsider's perspective: YUNUS comes from the sidelines with a declaration of war.
Born in a metropolis of millions, raised in the pomaded provinces: YUNUS has always been at home between the poles. On the one hand, his middle-class origins and viola studies in Hanover, on the other the excessive artistic life of Berlin.

Somewhere between a lethargic shrug, disarming repartee and a good dose of wit, YUNUS rubs a pinch of salt into the sore inconsistencies of our society and tells stories with natural ease and melancholic gallows humor on contemporary indie/hip-hop beats.

Over a million streams on Spotify, numerous concerts throughout the German-speaking world and shout-outs from Felix Lobrecht on "Gemischtes Hack", among others, are slowly but surely turning the sideline into the center of the German indie/hip-hop scene.

Pop culture and church - does that go together? The Osnabrück-based association nia wortmusik e.V. and the cooperation partners at Sharehaus Friedenskirche think yes, definitely! With the Popkirche Festival, the association is organizing two special concerts in the Friedenskirche in Osnabrück's Rosenplatzquartier (Klöntrupstr. 6, 49082 OS).

On 7.11. and 8.11., visitors can expect the finest pop music in a special atmosphere. As a large neighborhood living room, the Friedenskirche hall offers a unique space for inspiring pop culture.
