The special concert in St. Katharinen Osnabrück: Johann Sebastian Bach's complete Christmas Oratorio - an extensive musical "birthday celebration" on December 1, 2024. The Bach Choir at St. Katharinen, renowned soloists and a top-class orchestra will perform all six cantatas on historical instruments and in baroque style. St. Catherine's cantor Arne Hatje will conduct the concert.

In the traditional division, cantatas 1-3 will be performed in the first concert at 4.30 pm and cantatas 4-6 in the second concert at 7.30 pm.

However, tickets can only be purchased for the first concert-and there is a good reason for this:

We want to make it possible for everyone to enjoy the wonderful cantatas 4-6 with free admission and free seating, especially in these turbulent and, for many, financially difficult times.

Performing for you:

Hanna Zumsande (soprano), Juliane Sandberger (alto), Michael Connaire (tenor) and Sebastian Bluth (bass), Baroque Orchestra Sophie von der Pfalz on period instruments and the Bach Choir under the direction of Arne Hatje.

Tickets for this concert can be purchased online in advance on the Bach Choir website at www.bcos.de and at the tourist information office in Bierstraße.

Sales notice for the first concert with cantatas I-III:

FREE CHOICE OF SEATS applies in category III.

Discounts are only available for category III. Pupils, students, severely disabled persons, job seekers and trainees are entitled to this on presentation of ID at the box office.

KuKuk tickets for 1,- Euro (max. 10 available) are also available on presentation of ID at the box office.

One accompanying person per wheelchair user is admitted free of charge. They will be seated without a ticket.

The concert with cantatas IV -VI is free!
