Background
She is blue and yellow, loves music and has now fully arrived in German children's rooms: Owl, probably the coolest mediator of musical adventures, is on a great voyage of discovery. With enormous success! Since the release of the debut radio play by Charlotte Simon, Nina Addin and Christina Anders (Raack), the three Owl albums have sold around half a million copies.
Since 2016, the guileless owl has also been on the theater stage in the production by Christina Anders (Raack) and Cristiana Garba, delighting children and parents alike. Over 30,000 visitors throughout Germany have already celebrated a theater concert party with Eule. Now the sequel is finally here!
The story
Music is the language of emotions. That's what Owl finds out in the third part of her exciting journey through the world of music - because she wants to write her first ukulele song! But how do you even do that?
In her search for answers to what it takes to compose her first song, Owl not only puts on a concert in the forest, she also meets a whole new set of musical friends. Each with a different feeling in their luggage that has its very own beat. She encounters feelings of elation such as love, joy and courage, but sadness, anger and fear also cross her path. By the end, Eule has learned a lot about feelings and feels how good it is to express them through music.
The production
While the show for Eule Part 1 blurs the boundaries between theater, concert and interactive party, Garba and Anders place the
feelings at the center of the third part. "It is important to us to literally bring the feelings close to the audience," say Garba and Anders. "Feelings are not just there. They arise, build up and make their way to the surface. The emergence and the actual feeling are always the result of an interplay between inside and outside. We can shape the outside and thus create a connection. Through the music, of course, but also through the use of light and the expressiveness of the body." However, this will not change the live music experience for the young audience. With their well-rehearsed five-person team, there will once again only be live performances of songs.
