A musical based on a true criminal case

Thrill Me!
This is the message behind the ups and downs of the musical "Thrill Me", in which two well-off law students in the 1920s seek the ultimate thrill. Based on a true story, the thriller-style musical tells the story of an ambitious, manipulative young man (Richard Loeb) who, together with the hopelessly addicted Nathan Leopold, plans the perfect crime and not only crosses moral boundaries in the process, but also seems to lose the friendship and love of his only confidant as a result of his madness.
It becomes apparent early on in the play that Richard Loeb, who is enthusiastic about Nietzsche and describes himself as a superman, has a criminal streak and repeatedly tries to involve Nathan in his morally questionable plans. Through manipulative trickery, the hot-tempered and provocative Richard increasingly gains the upper hand over Nathan, who is hopelessly in love with him, over the course of the play. In the process, he incites the latter to commit ever more daring crimes before the two find themselves in the middle of the kidnapping of a small child with the intention of murder. However, it is not obvious at first glance that the shy and reserved Nathan is also playing games with Richard. The selfish abuse of his counterpart's dependency finally breaks the camel's back...

In an all-round theme of manipulation and peer pressure, toxic relationships and homosexuality, the search for identity in adolescence and profound remorse about one's own thought and behavior patterns in old age, this multi-award-winning musical by Stephen Dolginoff offers a thoroughly delightful evening for young people, young adolescents and the young at heart.
