During the city tour, Martina Sellmeyer uses original locations to tell exciting but long unknown stories about how people in Osnabrück - private individuals, people who were themselves persecuted, political activists and a church representative - resisted the inhumane Nazi system in a variety of ways.
Among them is the namesake of the ILEX Circle, Josef Burgdorf, editor of the daily newspaper Freie Presse, which was banned in 1933, who regularly wrote articles against the National Socialists under the pseudonym ILEX until 1933.
Martina Sellmeyer, who leads the city tour, is a member of the ILEX Circle, which deals with resistance during the Nazi era in Osnabrück and has researched 36 biographies of 36 courageous people and published them in a book.
The walking tour takes around 2 hours.</p
