Industrialization has fundamentally changed the way we work and live. This development is illustrated in the MIK's permanent exhibition. It provides exciting insights into the history of coal mining on the Piesberg. Historical sites are visited. The varied tour leads, among other things, 30 meters underground, into the almost 300 meter long Hasestollen. The importance of steam engines for mining and other branches of industry is also explained. The mighty steam engines in the museum make the ground shake when they start up.
