Anke Jansen - So oder so ist das Leben

In the 100th anniversary year of Hildegard Knef - born in 1925 - the municipality of Wallenhorst is presenting a special evening in the sports hall on Fröbelstraße on Saturday (March 15) at 8 pm. Guests will embark on a journey through Hildegard Knef's life, on which they will be captivated by her chanson hits and experience love, hate, theater, film, humor and much more.

In addition, actress and singer Anke Jansen portrays a strong woman in her solo program entitled "So oder so ist das Leben - Eine Hommage an Hildegard Knef". An exceptional artist who made a career in Hollywood and on Broadway. But also a woman who always had to fight for her dreams and her career. One who was able to do one thing above all: keep getting back up despite many setbacks. And thus became what she was: the last German diva.

Contemporary interpretation instead of imitation

Musically accompanied by Thorsten Schreiner on piano and Richard Eisenach on double bass, Anke Jansen approaches the great role model Hildegard Knef with the unmistakable timbre of her voice. Her aim is not merely to imitate her, but rather to give a contemporary interpretation of over twenty Knef classics, from "Eins und eins, das macht zwei" to "Für mich soll's rote Rosen regnen" to "Von nun an ging's bergab" and of course "So oder so ist das Leben" - all specially arranged by the musicians for this evening. An entertaining and very musical program that gets under your skin.

Program more topical than ever

"This piece is not only intended to appeal to Knef fans, but also to those who want to get to know her," explains Anke Jansen. "We also want to convey how topical this programme is, how everyone has to fight to realize themselves. And above all, that it is possible and that it is worth staying true to yourself." The special thing about Hildegard Knef was that she never lost her sense of humor and her smile, said Jansen. Despite all the difficulties, she always fought for her dream. "When she couldn't go on - as so often in her life - Hilde got up again. She is a role model for many, for young people, women and men. Our program is intended to provide motivation and whet the appetite for life."

Tickets are available in advance at Wallenhorst Town Hall (Rathausallee 1) and at Schreibwaren Vornholt (Schneidling 7) at a price of 25 euros. Tickets can be ordered online at noz.ticketcenter.de. With the Wallenhorster Kulturcard 2025, the advance booking price is only 18 euros.
