Starting signal for the VOS leisure buses

Season for the "Fahrten ins Blaue" starts on May 1

Next Monday, May 1, the FreizeitBuses of the Verkehrsgemeinschaft Osnabrück (VOS) start this year's season. The offer again includes four tours through the Varus region, Teuto region, to Lake Dümmer and to Tecklenburg - always on Sundays and public holidays, up to and including October 3 and free bicycle transport included.

For the FreizeitBuses, the general VOS tariff applies with inexpensive offers such as the TagesTicket or the TagesTicket Familie. Passengers are thus mobile throughout the day and can change buses as often as they like. Tickets for the FreizeitBus are available at the known ticket agencies, from the driving staff on the bus or also digitally via the mobility app VOSpilot. "The HandyTicket is also available in the district and is a good option for a spontaneous trip," explains Harald Schulte, head of network planning at PlaNOS and the VOS-FreizeitBus project group. And the new Deutschland-Ticket can also be used for the FreizeitBus, but is not available directly on the bus.

Free bicycle transportation The VOS-FreizeitBuses serve four destinations in the Osnabrück region: Teuto region (line 400), Varus region (line 202), Dümmer lake (line 200) and Tecklenburg (line 401). All FreizeitBuses travel with bicycle trailers, so that bicycles - whether trekking bike, pedelec or e-bike - can travel free of charge. Registration is only necessary for the FreizeitBus in the direction of Lake Dümmer. Contact is made via the Weser-Ems-Bus.

Tip: FreizeitBus brochure In cooperation with the Osnabrücker Land Tourism Association (TOL), a new FreizeitBus brochure has also been produced this year, which summarizes current timetables, maps, hiking and cycling tips. Tickets, the brochure and all information about the FreizeitBus are available at the Mobility Center at Neumarkt, at the Weser-Ems-Bus ServiceCenter at the main train station and online at www.freizeitbus.com. Journey information can be found in the mobility app VOSpilot and in the online information service of the Verkehrsgemeinschaft Osnabrück.
