The three fountain basins were created in 1970-71 and are located on Rißmüllerplatz in front of the sculpture The Liars by Nicolas Dings (created in 2005).
The centrally arranged fountains are surrounded by three square basins that run in a line. Originally, these were purely concrete basins, without being clad with natural stone slabs.
The fountains and basins were altered as part of a redesign of the green space in 2005.
Originally, there were two round basins with significantly higher fountains here from around 1950.
