In the exhibition "Wolkenfänger:innen" at Kunstraum hase29, Ingrid Hora uses artistic means to explore one of the central questions of our globalized world: How can we tackle the climate crisis and the associated ecological problems - especially water scarcity - with sustainable technologies without displacing traditional ways of life?
The starting point for the solo exhibition is the artistic research project "Cloud Catcher". In it, Ingrid Hora explores the future geography of water in a future characterized by climate change. Among other things, the project deals with the resulting uncertainty and offers space for reflection: What options are there for water extraction? How can water be distributed fairly? In photographic works, installation sculptures and drawings, the artist links ecological and social issues and attempts to counter the increasing uncertainty with positive artistic means - in order to open up perspectives for visitors on how to face the global challenge of water scarcity with confidence and courage.
