If a person dies and relatives cannot be found, the city legally takes the place of the relatives, organizes a simple burial in Osnabrück and covers the costs. As required by law, the known wishes of the deceased for burial in the ground or in an urn are taken into account. Every first Wednesday of the month, the urns are buried in graves marked by name in the Heger cemetery.
The circle of friends is cordially invited to the funeral service at 10 a.m. in the large chapel (Rheiner Landstraße 170).
