„Tag der Dieselloks“ am Piesberger Zechenbahnhof

The Osnabrücker Dampflokfreunde e.V. association and the Piesberger Kleinbahn invite all young and old railroad fans to the historic colliery station on the Piesberg for "Diesel Locomotive Day". The association owns a number of small locomotives from the Osnabrück connecting railroads as well as operational diesel locomotives, which will pull the museum train between the colliery station and the harbor track. Guest locomotives are also expected.
Guests can expect a varied program with trolley and locomotive rides as well as coffee and cake in the station café. Members of the association will offer guided tours on the subject of diesel locomotives and various diesel locomotives will be on display at the railroad stone for visitors to view. The Piesberger Kleinbahn runs close to the signal box and invites guests to take a ride. This 5-inch train offers an unusual ride on a small circuit around a small wood on the small seat carriages, which is not only a special treat for children of all ages.
Another highlight are the shuttle rides. These provide the most spectacular journey on the historic museum train to the Piesberg! All shuttle rides can also be combined very well with a Piesberg cycle tour (e.g. along the Haseuferweg or the canal cycle path). Bicycles, wheelchairs and baby carriages are transported free of charge.

Shuttle trips between the port and Piesberg colliery station
The train with its 1920s and 50s carriages runs from the Ost stop (port track) on Römereschstraße in Osnabrück harbour to the colliery station on the Piesberg and back again.
