"Politics? I don't have time for that" - say some in their everyday university life between the pressure to perform and growing up and the "best time of their lives". Universities have been increasingly democratized since the 1970s: More co-determination, more participation - more responsibility? How do students fill this space? Is studying political, or should it be? A discussion looking at the realities, possibilities and limits of everyday learning.
At the beginning, the StreitBar belongs to the guests: two students from Osnabrück University in the 1970s and two students from Osnabrück University today meet and talk about their experiences as students and their perspectives on the role of the university in an open, contentious and democratic society. Then it's up to the audience: after the interactive fishbowl format, free seats will be available at the discussion table. You can sit down, actively take part in the discussion and later release your seat so that others also have the opportunity to contribute their views.
