The museum had been closed for almost three years due to a major renovation for its new permanent exhibition. The new exhibition shows the development of life from the birth of our planet to urban models of the future. It offers an exciting mix of unique exhibits, modern technology and interactive stations. Among other things, visitors can discover a detailed carbon forest in which augmented reality brings extinct animals back to life and experience natural processes using regional objects and interesting hands-on opportunities.
The core themes are astronomy, water, forest, open land and urban life - similar to those of the old permanent exhibition. But that is all that has remained the same: where the topics were previously presented in individual small rooms, a large, bright, friendly space now shines. Visitors to the exhibition take a look into the past, contemplate the present and learn for the future.
