Hair out of the Closet
Installation by Hanna Frey on the subject of beauty ideals and body hair
Beauty norms change, but social constraints remain. Hair out of the Closet makes hair visible - as an aesthetic element, as a sign of control and liberation. A human-height box, from which hair flows in waves, breaks through the private space. Photographs and a video show bodies in their diversity and question common ideals. The waves spread out - across walls, windows and the floor - and make visible what often remains hidden.

"vanished"
The pop-up exhibition format "vanished" is making its debut from 9.
The exhibition entitled "pearly gates" unites the works of Münster-based artists Isabel Schober and Adrian Ferdinand in a dialog. The combination of both positions, accompanied by a set by Osnabrück DJ maddog, creates a special atmosphere for visitors.

Building Bridges 2025 / residency program
with ArtCore (GB), Kunstraum hase 29 and skulptur-galerie, Osnabrück
As part of the artist exchange with our twin city Derby (GB), artists from Derby and Osnabrück are given the space to explore common themes and exhibit them at the skulptur-galerie. The project is funded by the City of Osnabrück

Exhibition "Sculpture Camp"
In cooperation with the Youth Culture Days 2025 and the House of Youth, young people will create sculptures from scrap metal over 3-4 days in a "Sculpture Camp". Every day, the young people can show their interim results in the skulptur-galerie. The artistic results of the "Sculpture Camp" will then be presented in an exhibition in the glass room of the skulptur-galerie at Dielinger Straße 21 until June 20. The exhibition is curated by our new employee, Emily Witte.

In this context, we are pleased to be able to report that we have been able to use the glass room in Dielinger Straße as an exhibition space for the practical results of our educational work with schools on an ongoing basis. This permanent exhibition opportunity for the educational work funded by the Bohnenkamp Foundation raises the artistic and art education work of schools to a completely new level and offers art in schools an unprecedented forum!
