The Morgenland Festival Osnabrück celebrates its 20th edition from 2-17 August 2024! Since 2005, it has been dedicated to the fascinating musical culture of the Middle East, from traditional music to avant-garde, jazz and rock. With its focus on a region that immediately evokes both positive and negative cliché images as the "Orient", the festival has set itself the task of countering these images as authentically as possible. The festival enables its audience and guests to encounter the Other as a complex - sometimes related, sometimes inspiringly foreign - entity.
