After over 200 concerts in support of their self-titled debut album and the 2018 sophomore album "Again", the Kiel-based band have announced their biggest tour to date for 2020, entitled "Looping". Exactly 365 days before the tour kicks off. By now, no one can really ignore the Leonids: Indie rock anthems such as "Kids", "Nevermind" and "Sisters" have made sure of that, radiant pop songs full of kinetic energy, with rough edges and cinematic, large-format choruses. You have to experience it for yourself: At a Leoniden concert, the audience becomes a collective. The boundaries between band and audience become blurred. It's a feeling you'd expect to find in a Berlin techno club at the end of an endorphin-filled night. Anything goes: a guitarist smashing his instrument on his own head. Bongos in the circle pit. Stagedives and highfives. After all, there's only cool and uncool and how you feel. And there are few experiences that are as heart-stoppingly boundary-breaking as a concert by this completely insane band from the quasi-province of northern Germany. Basements have become clubs, clubs have become halls - but it's still true: when the Leonids go on tour, five best friends get on a bus together to leave everyday life behind, have a good time and go full throttle every day. They call it doing a loop. And because Jakob Amr, Lennart and Felix Eicke, JP Neumann and Djamin Izadi still haven't had enough of each other, they are now announcing their biggest tour to date for 2020, while they still have the third part of their 2019 "Kids Will Unite" tour, which is already almost completely sold out, ahead of them. After the tour is before the tour. Just Leoniden style.
