Once a semester, jazz students from the Institute of Music at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences (IfM) present the many facets of jazz on three evenings. At the "JAZZ!Nights" in the BlueNote, the budding professional jazz musicians demonstrate their skills in various ensembles.
For jazz fans, the "JAZZ!Nights" with the three concert evenings of the IfM jazz students are a highlight of the concert year, because the concert series with a program of Latin, swing, bebop, contemporary jazz, vocal jazz or big band and jazz choir is absolutely unique in the region in its stylistic diversity and quality.
Among the lecturers who supervise the ensembles are renowned musicians such as professors Frederik Köster (trumpet), Florian Weber (piano), Anne Mette Iversen (bass and composition), Frank Wingold (guitar) and Volker Winck (saxophone).
