The program of the birthday party on 1 September
The opening of the exhibition is the prelude to a big family festival on the Piesberg, which the Piesberg Gesellschaftshaus and the MIK are organizing together with the other actors on the Piesberg. Throughout the day, numerous activities for young and old will take place at the Gesellschaftshaus and around the MIK: In addition to hands-on activities for children, theater with Wolle und Gack, various music acts (including Senkel Band and Steigerchor Ibbenbüren), long-time companions of the MIK, such as the city ambassadors, will be presenting themselves at stands. Start-ups from the Osnabrück AI scene will present their exciting projects related to the "Artificial Intelligence" exhibition. One highlight will certainly be a moving robot from the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence, which will also be opening its show workshop in the coal washing plant behind the MIK magazine building. Graffiti artists will be creating a very special work of art with visitors. There will be short guided tours and much more - all free of charge. Of course, there will also be plenty to eat and drink.
The first of September also marks the end of the joint event series "sundays at piesberg. Experience industrial culture", which has been offered by the Piesberg stakeholders in cooperation with the Piesberg project office every first Sunday of the month since May. The light railroad runs, the Osnabrücker Dampflokfreunde offer a shuttle service and there is also a program at the Stüve shaft. A roaring birthday party for the whole family!
