Hamid and Emma meet in online chats and like each other straight away. They feel misunderstood by their parents and school and increasingly flee into a parallel world online. There, they are receptive to posts that make derogatory comments about gender equality debates and migration and turn to traditional values. While Emma has dedicated herself to the Tradwife community as an influencer and hypes classic gender roles, Hamid develops fantasies of an 'ideal' world in his specially developed game Klirrtheworld. They increasingly isolate themselves from the outside world and become more and more radicalized in their online lives. The play Influencer by Franziska-Theresa Schütz and Tanja Spinger addresses the connection between social media and the increasing influence of right-wing ideologies, especially among the younger generation. Accompanying scenic preparation workshops can be booked with the theater mediation.
