24 climbs, 240 km and 2400 m elevation gain! Not the flatlands of northern Germany! Here you don't have to be a bungler, you have to be a bruiser. This is the "Beast of Bramsche" road bike marathon, organized by the cycling department of TuS Bramsche, on Saturday, June 14, 2025 - now for the third time. It's going to be "beastly"!
Who wouldn't want to test the profile of a Tour of Flanders without having to travel to Belgium? With the "Beast of Bramsche", you have this right on your doorstep when you set off from Bramsche in the direction of the south-eastern district of Osnabrück and back to Bramsche. A large part of the 240 km route leads through the beautiful landscape of the town of Melle. It is the profile of a true cycling classic, as we know it from the big spring races in the Benelux countries.
From Sunday, December 15, 2024, the time has come! The registration portal www.beastofbramsche.de is open for the third edition. Ambitious cyclists should log in quickly and secure one of the coveted 500 starting places.
The route is almost unchanged in 2025 and leaves no beautiful spot in this wonderful cycling region untouched.
Refreshment points have been set up at the SV Wissingen sports club and at the gyms in Buer and Wellingholzhausen. A warm, energy-packed meal will also be waiting for the athletes in Wissingen. In total, more than 50 highly motivated helpers and medical staff will be on the route and on site in Bramsche to support the cyclists. Participants from all over Germany and abroad - especially the Netherlands - are expected to take part. The cycling department of TuS Bramsche as the organizer is looking forward to welcoming its racing bike guests.
The start and finish location is the Haupt- und Realschule in Bramsche, Heinrichstr. Starting documents, breakfast buffet and shower facilities will be available on site.
The start for the "Beast" will be on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 06:00 in the morning.
If the training kilometers are not enough for the "Beast" this time, a start at the "Little Beast of Bramsche" is announced first. Here the glass is only half full: 12 climbs, 120 km, and (only) 1200 m elevation gain await you. The start is at 7.30 a.m. on June 14, 2025 and the entry fee for both events is 59.90 euros each.
