With his reading of texts by and about Carl Von Ossietzky (1889 - 1938), Rolf Becker commemorates the journalist, publisher of the "Weltbühne", Nobel Peace Prize winner and staunch pacifist, who died on May 4, 1938 as a result of severe mistreatment in several camps, most recently in the "Esterwegen concentration camp" in Emsland. Ossietzky was quick to warn against the rearmament of the Reichswehr and the rise of fascism.
