Based on the main character Leopold Bloom from James Joyce's novel of the century "Ulysses", Bloomsday is celebrated on June 16: the day on which Bloom wanders through Dublin in the text.
Bloomsday is being celebrated in Osnabrück for the third time. The guided tour includes two stops: the Grüne Gans and the Irish pub The Red Shamrock. The Graz-based actress Christina Dom will read passages from "Ulysses" and bring the text to life. The evening will be accompanied by music from members of the Irish folk band "An Rinn".
