In the context of the project "OSNAtürlich - für mehr Artenvielfalt" the city of Osnabrück wants to protect, develop and connect habitats in the urban area and improve awareness of biodiversity and its value. In cooperation with Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences, measures to promote biodiversity are being implemented and scientifically monitored. The walk begins at the Heger cemetery, where there are newly sown wildflower meadows as well as old rough grassland. From Lotter Kirchweg, the route then leads past further meadow seedings into the Rubbenbruch with its species-rich wet meadows. Daniel Jeschke and Kathrin Kiehl show obvious and hidden diversity and focus in particular on the importance of maintenance for biodiversity.
Organizers: Prof. Dr. Kathrin Kiehl and Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Daniel Jeschke, Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Landscape Architecture.
Location: Heger cemetery. The exact meeting point will be announced to participants in an email beforehand.</p
