Big family festival at the Piesberg

The Piesberg will become a "Peace Mountain" on June 11, when the municipal music and art school, in cooperation with the Museum of Industrial Culture, invites you to its big family festival.

From 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., under the title "be together," there will be exciting hands-on activities surrounding the special exhibition "World Trade. History, Present, Perspectives" on the grounds of the museum at Fürstenauer Weg 171. There will be drumming activities, a children's fashion show, concerts for young and old ears, a fencing performance, instruments to marvel at and try out, musical tours through the museum world, an experience room in the horse stable, a soundwalk through the gallery, a silent disco and much more. Participants include the Big Band of the Music and Art School, string and wind ensembles, and children from cooperating daycare centers and elementary schools. For refreshments, Café MIK and its beer garden will offer tasty treats.

The event will take place at both museum locations and on the outdoor grounds and is part of the "be part of it" concert series with which the city's School of Music and Art is participating in the 375th anniversary of the Peace of Westphalia.

Admission is free.
