Including the famous Overture in D major by J.S. Bach, with a large orchestra of three trumpets, timpani, flutes, oboes and strings, we can look forward to a fantastic baroque gala at the end of the festival alongside music by Telemann.

After seven years, we can look forward to another top international ensemble in the form of the unique European Union Baroque Orchestra. The EUBO's previous concerts are among the milestones of our festival. "Thrilling spontaneity" was the verdict of the NOZ newspaper after the sensational concert by this orchestra under the direction of Ton Koopman. The musicians of the EUBO are regarded as the best young European baroque musicians. Conductors such as Solti, Brüggen, Leonhardt, Koopman and Manze have led this elite European ensemble to top performances. The EUBO performs worldwide. The three most recent CDs were named Recording of the Year by BBC London. Since 1985, the orchestra has performed in more than 50 countries worldwide and has been honored with numerous international awards. 

His incredibly lively and sonorous music-making has made Alfredo Bernardini from Rome the leading baroque specialist of our time. As a soloist and conductor, he performs worldwide with top ensembles such as Hespèrion XXI, the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra, The English Concert, the Bach-Collegium Japan and the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra. Alfredo Bernardini has performed throughout Europe, in the USA, South America, China, Japan and Israel and has recorded more than 50 CDs. He has performed with the EUBO in China, Spain and Germany.
