This January, the Haus der Jugend will once again be the city's most musical living room: sofas, "fireplace", relaxed atmosphere, for a wine or beer, just with a stage instead of a TV. 

Some well-known bands and musicians from the city and region have changed their sets to unplugged versions: cajon instead of drum castle, double bass and piano instead of Marshall amp. How does that work? Come and see for yourself.


22.15-22.45 - Johanna Isserstedt
She sings about everything she doesn't dare to say.
With a compelling honesty, Johanna looks inwards and only
looks outwards again on stage. Sometimes it sounds intimate, sometimes loud and sometimes
quite quiet, heavy and then groovy again - always with her pure voice in the foreground.

This is carried by a sensitive construction of bass, drums and guitar.
Taken together, this results in soul pop - soul because it contains her soul and pop because it can be the
framework for everything. Everything she wants to be right now. With her hair in the wind
and the sun on her face, she paints all colors from purple to orange in her songs. A
dab of melancholy gives each line its unique color.
Her English lyrics tell of sadness, freedom, the greatest happiness on earth and secret messages.

21:30-22:00 - Joga Club
...makes indie pop. For fourteen years, the five friends with Bandkeller near Osnabrück have been sharing their passion and making as much music as possible. With a stable indie base, pop melodies and the idea that every new song could become a favorite.
Klick Klick Klick is the name of JOGA CLUB's fourth album. The 11 indie pop songs shoot instant images from all phases of life - from birth to childhood, first apartment, crisis and turmoil, to death. In addition to personal impressions, they also show social attitudes. And there are some really good words in them. Bremen, for example. Or kiosk. Umbrella, interstellar, grain, superwoman, sirens - great words!

20.45-21.15 - CharMana
Powerful and with great love for songwriting, the quintet presents a live set thematically somewhere between heart and brain. In addition to reflectively critical lyrics, musically new paths and the search for their own social integrity, CharMana don't take themselves too seriously and are aware of their relevance. Their creative engine is not the attempt to provide answers, but to ask the right questions. CharMana bring a colorful mixture of dynamic rock numbers to the stage in a way that is both challenging and atmospherically relaxed, without missing out on the subtle and quiet nuances. If a label is needed, then the description "alternative indie rock" with a guaranteed catchy tune is probably the best way to describe their style.

The songs from the new album "Papierkopfhelden" are always included. The rocking opener "Besser mal im Regen tanzen" leaves no doubt as to where the roots of this band lie and finds its ballad counterpart in the song "Wenn der Sturm sich legt". With the song "Ein Dekret", CharMana then set the political accent and make it clear how much our social coexistence has suffered from the crises of recent years.


20.00-20.30 - Two Ghosts
So far they have only been known with a band behind them, but now Ceyson Orange and
Ellie are also available as a duo! In the finest singer-songwriter style, the frontman and the drummer of ghost of baltimore are reduced to the essentials: Vocals, acoustic guitar and percussion, that's all it takes. With a mix of their own songs and cover songs, the Osnabrück natives take the audience on a journey through pain and joy, self-discovery and reflection. You experience the two of them emotionally and exceptionally close, but also with their usual passion and energy.
