On October 18 and 19, 2024, the fine-dining restaurant Kesselhaus is hosting two very special evenings: At a so-called 4-hands dinner, top chef Thomas Bühner will prepare a special menu on Friday and Saturday together with Randy de Jong, head chef at the starred Kesselhaus. Guests can look forward to creations with high-quality, seasonal ingredients, fine flavors and cosmopolitan charm.
The two chefs know each other very well from their time together at the successful 3-star restaurant La Vie - as does Thayarni Garthoff, who managed the service there for over a decade and then opened the Kesselhaus. "We have worked together side by side for so long, so it will be a very special pleasure to be able to rekindle this bond for two days," says Garthoff with a view to the events in October.
The Kesselhaus opened at the end of 2018 and received a star in the renowned Michelin Guide in 2020. Since then, Randy de Jong and his team have successfully defended this coveted award. In addition to its modern, creative cuisine, the Kesselhaus is characterized above all by the urban flair of the old industrial architecture and its courteous service.
Thomas Bühner is now active worldwide as a guest chef, keynote speaker and consultant for gastronomic concepts. He is also responsible for La Vie by Thomas Bühner in Taipei and Rong by Thomas Bühner in Beijing and plans to open another restaurant in Düsseldorf in spring 2025.

The fine-dining restaurant Kesselhaus in Osnabrück was awarded one star by the renowned Michelin Guide in 2020 and has successfully defended this coveted honor ever since. After various positions in upscale gastronomy, including at the 3-star restaurant La Vie in Osnabrück, owner and hostess Thayarni Garthoff (née Kanagaratnam) and Chef de Cuisine Randy de Jong have developed their very own style at Kesselhaus. In culinary terms, the modern creations impress with their love of home and region as well as cosmopolitan, creative flavors. The relaxed atmosphere is enhanced by the warm service and the urban industrial architecture of the Kesselhaus. The restaurant is open from Wednesday to Saturday from 18:30, and at weekends there is a smaller menu for lunch in addition to the evening menu.
