Many bats live on the Piesberg and hibernate in the Hasestollen of the Museum of Industrial Culture Osnabrück (MIK), where they can be discovered during the winter months. In the MIK's bat cellar, which opened in 2020, visitors can learn all about the hidden life of bats and why the Piesberg is an important place for bat conservation. The interactive exhibition with numerous specimens and exhibits, rare film sequences and a children's trail turns young and old into bat experts.
