There is a new child in class 4b. But he doesn't fit in with the others: Lou can't even chew gum properly, leggings don't suit him at all and he just gets tangled up in the rubber twist. Because Lou is a rhinoceros. And no matter how hard he tries to fit in, soon nobody wants to play with him anymore. Lou is teased and laughed at. The rhino is not "normal" - according to the other children. And their parents think so all the more. After all, isn't a rhino like that dangerous? Perhaps it would be best if it went to the zoo? Or will the children find ways to get along after all?
Who says what is normal and what is not? With her play, author Tina Müller has written a plea for tolerance and mutual respect that is as amusing as it is touching. In 2017, she was awarded the Mülheim Stückemarkt prize for Dickhäuter.
