"Are you ready?" is a group exhibition celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Kunsthalle Osnabrück with the participation of 30 local initiatives and an installation by Diane Hillebrand.
The first exhibition at the Kunsthalle Osnabrück took place in 1993. This means that in the coming year it will look back on 30 years of cultural and exhibition practice. The Kunsthalle wants to take this as an opportunity to review the past and look to the future! For this purpose, the Kunsthalle's courtyard, new building and cloister will be used for eight months to celebrate the anniversary with various impulses and formats together with cultural actors from the city. The Kunsthalle is inviting 30 cultural actors, artists and initiatives from the city with a "carte blanche principle". In the sense of: 30 years. 30 actors. 30 events. Participation can be openly chosen and shaped by the actors: whether exhibition, concert or performance. In order to create an aesthetic-functional framework for the contributions, the artist and scenographer Diane Hillebrand will develop a flexible overall architecture for the Kunsthalle.
